A need for Biblical Praise & Worship in the Church.
I write this because I see a decline in good solid Worship and praise songs. As a Worship leader and singer songwriter, I dont always sing or teach the worship team the most popular song making it's way around churches. I check the lyrics and lay it up with the Scripture. So many times alot of the songs we sing are woolly with no depth. I myself with my song writer always try to write the truth of Gods Word. This comes with spending time in God's word and prayer, I am giving you my a reader a challenge check out the songs you are singing in your church, then if there are things not adding up. Write a fresh biblical worship song. I believe there is something special when we sing scripture its powerful. Recently I wrote a song based on Psalm 86 it's not a typical bless me song but speaks of despair and the joy hope, the reality of living in the world.
